“I don’t want to whine about my woes with a record label, I want progress. A heightened awareness is what I felt like bringing about, because I believe people ask me about my situation most frequently. I don’t have the answers. I do know what’s real, and that’s my desire to move forward as professional rap artist.
I don’t even have to know why things turned so sour, I just want my release to be signed off on…”
As for the song itself, Lito flips Lex Luger’s popular instrumental to ask Baby & Slim for his release from Cash Money Records. There’s a few shots on here as well but he says it’s not beef, just him venting. After all of the dope music he has released since singing to Cash Money (6 years ago!) especially the projects that have dropped in the last 12 months, there’s no way he shouldn’t have a release date for his Cash Money debut album, Cash Money Laundering. Let’s just hope that he gets his release papers from CMR sooner than later and is able reach his full potential as a rap star.
